Ovations Dance Repertory Company's GETTING TO KNOW...RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA Set for Patchogue Theatre, 8/22

By:

Experience the magic of Ovations Dance Repertory Company's production of Getting To Know...Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, featuring kid performers under the artistic direction of Orlando Peña, at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) on Saturday, August 22, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers and Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella was the most widely view program in the history of the medium.

The recreation of Cinderella in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, featuring music artist Brandy as Cinderella and the late Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother.

As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. Ovations Dance Repertory Company's production ofGetting To Know...Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is an abridged version of the musical for the whole family that brings the classic fairy tale to life once again on stage.
