Maxine Linehan Performs WHAT WOULD PETULA DO? A Tribute To Petula Clark On March 23

International concert and recording artist Maxine Linehan brings What Would Petula Do? A Tribute to Petula Clark to the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, March 23. The acclaimed solo concert is currently performing across the U.S. and will tour Europe and Australia in 2020. A live album of the show that was recorded in Paris will be released this year.

Linehan made her professional theatrical debut in Ireland at the age of 17. She has performed for thousands at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including sold out shows in New York's Lincoln Center. In What Would Petula Do?, Linehan and her band take the audience on a musical journey of Clark's career, from her early, popular recordings in the 1940s, through her mega-stardom in the 1960s, to her award-winning performances in film and on Broadway right up to the 1990s. Songs include I Know a Place, Don't Sleep in the Subway, Color My World, Old Devil Moon, The Sound of Music, This is My Song and, of course, Downtown.

Other credits for Linehan include a debut studio album, Beautiful Songs, which was a top ten pick by USA Today and received a rave in The New York Times. In 2018, in response to gun violence and in support of the students of Parkland, Florida, and in collaboration with over 50 musicians, Linehan co-wrote and performed the original single Living Proof.

What Would Petula Do? will begin at 8 p.m. on March 23 on the Westermann Stage in Adelphi's PAC Concert Hall.

Tickets start at $35, with discounts available to seniors, students, alumni, and staff. Information is available at the Lucia and Steven N. Fischer Box Office at 516-877-4000 or boxoffice@adelphi.edu.
