Directed by Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director of The National Yiddish Theatre, this "best of" program created especially for WHBPAC stars Lisa Fishman, Cantor Magda Fishman, Elmore James, Avram Pengas and Adam B. Shapiro. The concert features beloved selections from the historic repertoire of the Yiddish theater which capture the soul of the Jewish people through outrageous humor, tear jerking ballads, moving love songs and always with the hope for a better tomorrow.
The Drama Desk Award-winning National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, which celebrates its centenary in 2015, is the longest continuously producing Yiddish theater company in the world.
