The LIC Arts Open Fall Salon Show in Long Island City runs Saturday November 18, 2017 and Sunday November 19, 2017 from 12 noon to 6pm.

The official opening reception is at 6pm to 10pm at The Plaxall Gallery on the bank of the block long Anable Basin built in 1868 for oil barges.

The Plaxall company hopes to upgrade the Anable Basin waterfront with new housing, hundreds of light industrial jobs, a multi-level public esplanade, and a new public school.

There are over 300 works of art from over 100 LIC artists [including Ray and Rita Normandeau] in the twelve thousand square foot gorgeous Plaxall Gallery

Prior to the 6pm reception other art venues will be open.

43-32 22 Street is Diego Salazar Studios with 3 artists showing. The Diego Salazar Gallery itself is an antique frame gallery. Some of his frames can cost half a million dollars.

44-02 23rd Street is the LIC Art Center with 5 artists including the renown Karen Kettering Dimit

21-21 46 Avenue is Studio Palicas Paintings

10-10 44 Avenue Paint Can Studios with with 4 artists

43-01 22 Street which is Reiss Studios with 16 artists exhibiting

37-24 24 Street is the Silks Building with 2 artists

43-49 10 Street with Eric Friedman, Jorge Posada and Marleen Poels

43-50 11 Street James Seffens
