THE LEGENDS SERIES is returning to Bay Street Theatre tonight, September 20 at 8 pm. Film maker and archivist Joe Lauro will host his all new show, LEGENDS OF ROCK VOLUME 5 featuring amazing rare footage of some of the undisputed legends of American music.

LEGENDS OF ROCK VOLUME 5 features rare clips of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, THE BAND, DOB DYLAN, Nina SimonE, SIMON & GARFUNKLE, Ruth Brown, MUDDY WATERS, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, THE STAPLE SINGERS, THE DOORS, Johnny Cash and many others. All film clips are accessed from the original master tapes.

"It's as close as we can get to seeing them live," says Lauro.

THE LEGENDS SERIES brings to the big screen amazing performance video clips culled from one of the world's largest archives of music on film, the Historic Films Archive. Historic Films is dedicated to the re-discovery and preservation of all forms of American entertainment as it exists on film and video tape.

Historic Films has provided film clips to everyone from THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME MUSEUM and Martin Scorsese (his BLUES and Bob Dylan projects) to AMERICAN IDOL and THE GRAMMY AWARDS.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sag Harbor Music Festival and Bay Street Theatre. Tickets are $15 and are available online and at the box office. For more information about Bay Street Theatre log on to www.baystreet.org or call the Bay Street Box Office at 631-725-9500.
