John W. Engeman Theatre Presents THE WIZARD OF OZ 3/23

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is proud to present THE WIZARD OF OZ, part of the TD BANK Youth Theater Series. The Wizard of Oz is based on the classic story by L. Frank Baum and is presented as a fresh new musical comedy, containing adventure, friendly characters and humor. People of all ages will enjoy this colorful classic fairy tale from somewhere over the rainbow!

Dorothy Gale, bored with her life on a Kansas farm, is swept away to a magical land by a tornado and sets off on a quest to see the Wizard who can help her return home. On her way she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage. They all hope the Wizard of Oz will help them, before the Wicked Witch of the West catches up with them.

The cast of THE WIZARD OF OZ features: Audra Rizzo (DOROTHY); Michelle Hines (GLINDA); Ally Antun (WICKED WITCH); Richard Montgomery (LION); Adam Mosebach (SCARECROW); Josh Rothberg (WIZARD OF OZ); Christopher Robert Duffy (TIN MAN) and Chris Calfa (NIKKO).

THE WIZARD OF OZ is produced for the John W. Engeman Theater by RICHARD T. DOLCE, the theater's Producing Artistic Director. The Director is Mark Adam Rampmeyer. The Set and Props Designer is Sonoka Fukuma-Gozelski. The Costume Designer is JILLIAN CORATTI. The Lighting Designer is Michael Visco and the Sound Designer is Katherine Miller.

The Wizard of Oz will play the following performance schedule: Saturdays at 11:00 am and Sundays at 10:30 am April 23, 2011 through June 19, 2011.
