Bare Bones Theater to Stage REASONS TO BE PRETTY, 7/16-8/1

Bare Bones Theater at 57 Main Street, Northport, NY, presents "Reasons to Be Pretty" by Neil LaBute (2009 Tony nominee for Best Play), running July 16 - August 1, 2015.

Directed by Lynn Antunovich, with associate director Judy McCormick, the cast features Adam Thompson, Gabrielle Georgescu, JLawrence Kenny and Emily Ryan Reed.

A love story about the impossibility of love, "Reasons to Be Pretty" introduces us to Greg, who really, truly adores his girlfriend Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he mentions them, all hell breaks loose. A hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance, the plot focuses on the modern-day obsession with physical appearance, centering on four young working class friends who become increasingly dissatisfied with their situations and with each other.
