Western States Public Radio Online Auction Offers Travel, Entertainment & More

Eight Western public media partners who operate a combined 23 public radio stations and serve 1.5 million listeners across Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington have combined efforts to host the inaugurAl Western States Public Radio Online Auction (WSPROA), Feb. 18-27.
Developed by Nevada Public Radio, this 10-day multi-state web-based auction will feature exclusive items including travel packages, fine dining, entertainment and luxury services across the Western United States. Partner stations include Nevada Public Radio, Phoenix Public Radio, Arizona Public Radio, Capital Public Radio, Humboldt State University's KHSU-FM, Mendocino County Public Broadcasting, Inland Empire's KVCR-FM and Pacific Public Media's KPLU-FM."Nevada Public Radio is thrilled to join with our public media colleagues in the West to showcase the very best in hospitality, entertainment, and experiences unique to each of our markets," said president and general manager Flo Rogers. Online auction catalog items are donated by local and regional businesses, attractions and service providers that fall into 46 expanded categories. The WSPROA catalog includes exciting and unique items such as an exotic seven-day travel and adventure package to the Philippines, a day of gourmet dining hosted by Elizabeth Atkins on a private yacht in the San Francisco Bay, a guided architectural tour of Seattle by the Seattle Architecture Foundation, an outdoor enthusiast's dream vacation at Washington's Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, a one-day workshop with renowned marine life artist Wyland, VIP tickets to all Las Vegas' Cirque du Soleil productions and much more.Videos
