Animal lovers Taylor Makakoa and Terry Fator served as honorary chairs at Heaven Can Wait Society's Holiday Luncheon yesterday at the M Resort Spa Casino, where they presented HCWS's Executive Director, Harold Vosko, with a check to match $30,000 in donations.

Makakoa, who was recently named official spokesperson of the organization, and Fator were joined by 200 fellow animal lovers for the special event. Fator treated guests to selections from his holiday show at Mirage Hotel & Casino, "A Very Terry Christmas."

To help Heaven Can Wait Society and its mission of controlling and managing the pet population, donations can be made at http://hcws.org/.

HCWS protects local animals through aggressive spaying and neutering at a clinic owned and operated by the organization, adoptions, community outreach programs and education. Thirty thousand healthy domesticated animals are euthanized in Clark County each year. Through its efforts, Heaven Can Wait hopes to drastically reduce that number.
