Olympia Dukakis in "ROSE"
Tuesday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m.
"ROSE," by Martin Sherman, a one-woman play, is a portrait of a feisty Jewish woman who has survived some of the major events that shaped the 20th century with humor, guile and spirit. The play illustrates a remarkable life that began in a tiny Russian village, moved on to Warsaw's ghettos and ship called The Exodus, and finally to the boardwalks of Atlantic City, the Arizona Canyons and salsa-flavored nights in Miami Beach.

Olympia Dukakis first performed "ROSE" in 1999 on stage at the Royal National Theatre in London and then in spring 2000 opened at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. With a career spanning more than 50 years, Olympia Dukakis is an esteemed actress, director, producer, teacher, author and activist. The Academy Award winner, known for her roles in "Steel Magnolias," "Mr. Holland's Opus" and "I Love Trouble" among many others, was most recently seen on the New York stage in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of "The Milktrain Doesn't Stop Here Anymore."

The Tenors
Sunday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
One of the first groups to grace the stage at The Smith Center after its opening one year ago, The Tenors are set to return to Las Vegas with their powerful voices and memorable melodies. Since their inception only five years ago, The Tenors have been thrilling audiences around the world with their signature blend of classical music and contemporary pop that has garnered them international success.
Over the past two years, The Tenors have performed worldwide and shared the stage with legendary artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Sting and Paul McCartney. More recently, The Tenors were featured performers on two primetime international broadcasts: The Emmy Awards live from Los Angeles and The Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations from Windsor Castle in the U.K., where The Tenors performed for Her Majesty.
Their live performances draw selections from their new album, "Lead With Your Heart," as well as some of their past hits. "Lead With Your Heart," their second studio album, stretches the boundaries of classical crossover by combining classic songs, modern tunes and Spanish and French world music. From cover features such as Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" and Elton John's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" to the inspirational anthem "Amazing Grace" and one of the most recognizable and heroic Tenor arias, "Nessun Dorma," the diverse track list features a mix of pop favorites and classical staples along with new compositions written and co-written by The Tenors.
Jewel
Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Acclaimed singer, songwriter, actress, poet, painter and philanthropist Jewel is a three-time Grammy Award nominee and has been hailed by the New York Times as a "songwriter bursting with talents." She has enjoyed career longevity rare among her generation of artists. Whether alone with her guitar or fronting a band of ace musicians, Jewel has always been a charismatic live performer, earning the respect of other singer-songwriters such as Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan and Neil Young among others.

Most recently, Jewel released her first-ever Greatest Hits compilation, featuring two re-recorded tracks including "You Were Meant For Me" with the Pistol Annies and "Foolish Games" featuring Kelly Clarkson as well as her newest single, "Two Hearts Breaking."
