Las Vegas Philharmonic to Conclude Season with 'DREAM OF NOW, DREAM OF THEN,' 6/4

The Las Vegas Philharmonic performs its final concert of the season, Dream of Now, Dream of Then: Lisa Vroman Brings Broadway to Las Vegas on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center. The performance will feature sixteen Broadway selections with arrangements sung by esteemed vocalist, Lisa Vroman.

The orchestra opens with Gershwin's Girl Crazy Overture and Berlin's Blue Skies, followed by three more Gershwin selections, S'Wonderful, Someone to Watch Over Me, and Just Another Rhumba. Next, the Philharmonic performs Rodger's Slaughter on 10th Ave and then three arrangements by Rodgers & Hart including, To Keep My Love Alive, Where or When and This Can't Be Love. During the second half, the orchestra performs Rodgers & Hammerstein's If I Loved You and three selections by Meredith Willson, Music Man Overture, Lida Rose/Dream of Now, and My White Night. To close the evening's performance, the Philharmonic presents Sondheim's, Into the Woods Symphonic Suite, Not While I'm Around and Broadway Baby.

Lisa Vroman starred for several years on Broadway as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera. She received Theatre Critics' awards for her role in a record breaking run in San Francisco and did a return engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Her Broadway debut was in Aspects of Love, and she was the first to play both Fantine and Cosette in LES MISERABLES. Other roles include Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella, Charlotte in A Little Night Music and Lili Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate, to name a few. Vroman is a George London Competition Grant recipient and a 1999 Minerva Award recipient from the State University of New York at Potsdam.

Ticket prices for the June 4th Dream of Now, Dream of Then: Lisa Vroman Brings Broadway to Las Vegas concert are $26, $46, $66 and $96 and can be purchased through The Smith Center Box Office, phone 702.749.2000 or online at lvphil.org.

Four, six and nine-concert subscription packages to the Las Vegas Philharmonic's upcoming 2016 - 2017 concert season are currently on sale through The Smith Center Box Office.
