Tickets are now on sale for Summit Theatre Group’s hilarious production of God of Carnage — a comedy of manners without the manners! What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behavior of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums, and tears before bedtime? At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters. Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse – much worse. God of Carnage won the Tony Award for Best Play and the Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
Summit Theatre Group is at 180 NW Oldham Parkway, Lee's Summit, MO.
