Kansas City’s favorite holiday tradition is back for its 37th season, with an all-NEW adaptation by KCRep Artistic Director, Eric Rosen! A ripping good telling of the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the curmudgeonly businessman who requires the intervention of a few spectral guides to understand the true meaning of Christmas and life. Complete with lively musical numbers, ornate costumes, and dashing stagecraft, Dickens’ classic tale of hope and redemption continues to remind us what’s really worth celebrating – at the holidays, or any time! The Kansas City holiday season officially begins on November 21st with the forty-second annual iteration of the Kansas City Repertory Theatre Production of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella “A Christmas Carol. Director Jason Chanos is excited about this new mounting of the annual classic. Chanos is both the director of this production and the Associate Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre artistic staff announced today that they will extend the run of Kate Hamill's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, the multiple award-winning production, directed by KCRep's recently-departed Associate Artistic Director, Marissa Wolf. Based on the novel by Jane Austen, Hamill's hilarious, gender-bending reimagining of arguably Austen's most beloved book, begins previews on March 22 and extends its run through April 20 at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus.
