After a successful pilot in 2016, The MTH Theater at Crown Center has scheduled four installments of SILENT MOVIE SESSIONS for 2107. Each of the sessions will feature a silent film completely underscored by original and improvisational jazz, performed live.

Curated by Tim Scott, the series was born out of a conversation with accomplished Bassist and composer, Joey Panella. 'We had been trying to develop innovative ideas for our studio theater and cinema for some time and this was something Joey brought to me and was passionate about,' said Tim Scott. Mr. Panella is the band leader and collaborates on all of the original compositions, as well as assembles the quartet.

The first of the four scheduled Sessions will be presented March 31 - April 1,
and will feature the 1920 classic, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, widely considered
to be the first great horror film.

Tickets for the Sessions are $10 for MTH Season Subscribers
and $15 for the general public. Each of the four Silent Movie Sessions will have 3 showings. 2017 dates are as follows: March 31, 7pm showing, April 1, 4pm & 7pm showing, June 23, 7pm showing, June 24, 4pm & 7pm showing, August 25, 7pm showing, August 26, 4pm & 7pm showing, November 17, 7pm showing, November 18, , 4pm & 7pm showing
