Kansas City Cappies* present URINETOWN by Mark Hollmann & Greg Kotis on July 24 and 25 at 7 pm, Friday and Saturday.

This production of URINETOWN is the culmination of the Kansas City Cappies Summer Theatre Camp, featuring nominees from The 2009 Kansas City Cappies Awards Gala.

URINETOWN satirizes capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, and petty small town politics. It also is a satire of the Broadway musical as a form. In reverse pantomime style, the unconventional plotline shatters audience expectations of a pleasant ending. This hilarious story of a post-apocaliptic land where you have to pay to pee will make you laugh until you have to, well, pee!
