Composer, noted musician and ballet conductor Carmon DeLeone will conduct the first weekend of performances May 11-13. Kansas City Ballet Music Director Ramona Pansegrau will conduct the remaining five performances May 16-20.

Carney stated, "We're completing this 60th Anniversary Season with a timeless family classic: J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan. It's more than one hundred years old, yet it is still wildly popular and continually attracting new generations of fans. Peter Pan highlights how children find themselves in unusual circumstances, exemplify the best of the human spirit and overcome all odds. I want all children to realize that it's all right to be a child even if you eventually have to grow up. Hang on to that spirit of adventure."

"All the world is made of faith and trust and pixie dust."

- J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie's classic swashbuckling adventure of the Lost Boys and their nemesis Captain Hook makes its Kansas City premiere with all-new choreography by Artistic Director, Devon Carney. This full-length ballet brings the timeless classic to life, telling the family adventure for those who never want to grow up. The magical Peter Pan flies into the Darling family nursery, urging Wendy, John and Michael to join him in Never Never Land.

Alongside Swan Lake, Dracula, The Sleeping Beauty, The Three Musketeers, Alice (in wonderland), Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, and next season's world premiere of The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan will add to the historic repertoire of storytelling ballets performed by Kansas City Ballet.
