AFKC to Host Annual FETE DE LA BASTILLE

On Sunday, July 10th, the Alliance Française de Kansas City will hold its annual "Fête de la Bastille" from 2pm to 6pm at Salon Voterro Paris in Waldo, at 332 W. 75th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.

The event celebrates the "Fête de la Bastille"," a French holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille prison, a pivotal moment in French history. A family friendly occasion, the celebration invites all to enjoy the vibrant French culture and community of Kansas City.

In the past this event has brought together French natives and Kansas Citians alike with a variety of aspects of the country's culture. This year, attractions will include authentic French cuisine, live DJ and contemporary French music, the emblematic "Citroën Deux Chevaux" car form the 1950's, and raffles for wine, clothing accessories, and memberships to the organization. Alliance Française de Kansas City President Patrick Raymond will share remarks about the gratitude of the promotion of French culture.

Tickets for "la Fête de la Bastille"" are $10 and may be bought at the door or on the organizations website www.afkc.org. Children 12 and under may attend for free.
