The SUNY Cortland Performing Arts Department is hiring a Full-Time TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. Join a dynamic team in an ever-growing BFA Musical Theatre program in the heart of Central New York.

Responsibilities Include:

• Scenic Construction, Planning & Budgeting
• Staff Supervision & Student Mentorship
• Facilities & Equipment Upkeep/Maintenance
• Collaboration & Production Support

Required Qualifications:

• Professional or academic experience as a Technical Director, including scenic construction
• Demonstrated proficiency as a carpenter, draftsman, welder, and theatre technician.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

*BA or BFA in Technical Theatre or a related field preferred.

Salary: $52,500+ Depending on experience
