Taylor Trainee Program Audition at Taylor Center for Dance Education (Paul Taylor Dance Company)

AUDITION FOR 2026-2027 TAYLOR TRAINEE PROGRAM Date: Friday, September 18th

Time: 10:00 to 11:30 AM

Location: 307 West 38th Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10018 (Taylor Dance West) The audition will consist of a Taylor Modern class. Director of Education, Amy Marshall, and Paul Taylor Dance Company Artistic Director, Michael Novak, along with faculty will evaluate each dancer’s technical and artistic foundation. Train directly with Paul Taylor Dance Company Artistic Director Michael Novak, Rehearsal Director Cathy McCann, and distinguished Paul Taylor Dance Company alumni. The new Taylor Trainee Program is a dedicated training track offering advanced instruction in Taylor Modern technique alongside coaching in Taylor Repertoire. The program is designed specifically for recent college and conservatory graduates as well as working dancers in the field seeking to dive deeper into the Taylor style and repertoire. Tuition is $2,000 for the year, with a limited number of merit-based scholarships available. Program details and payment plan structures will be shared with those selected to join the program. The Taylor Trainee program will officially begin on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Space in the inaugural cohort is limited. We encourage all interested dancers to attend.
