TITLE: Corporate Relations Manager
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, full-time
JOB SUMMARY:
Working closely with the Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations and the Director of Development, this position oversees growth of the Board of Governors, Ford’s Theatre’s corporate membership program. The Manager stewards a portfolio of donors, qualifies a strong pipeline of prospects and serves as a primary contact for corporate benefits fulfillment.
The position is based in Washington, D.C. and is eligible to work within stated Ford’s hybrid work guidelines which includes up to 2 days a week remote. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations to manage and grow the Board of Governors program, with specific attention to donors and prospects at the $10,000 - $75,000 levels. Manage a portfolio of approximately 40 corporate donors, including cultivation, stewardship and moves management activities.
- Assist with scaled stewardship of the entire corporate portfolio through timely gift acknowledgement and business correspondence, fulfillment of ticket and tour requests, writing and dissemination of e-news and event invitations, proper crediting and recognition, etc.
- Manage grant applications and reporting requirements for corporate members.
- Identify and qualify a pipeline of prospective corporate donors through sufficient prospect research, briefing material and monitoring of corporate landscape. Collaborate with Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations on cultivation strategy and acquisition appeals to convert prospects to donors.
- Assist in execution of events for Board of Governors members, including benefit events, the annual Gala and corporate donors’ private utilization of Ford’s Theatre spaces.
- Lead guided tours and personalized experiences for major donors and prospects. Participate in occasional trainings to stay current with Ford’s interpretations of historic events and their relevancy today.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Understanding of the drivers of corporate giving and comfort identifying and communicating the value proposition to current and prospective donors.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workflows and project timelines with accuracy, clarity and attention to detail. Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, track and synthesize donor and prospect data. Detail‑oriented approach to reviewing donor activity and identifying actionable insights.
- Experience with prospect research tools and database systems, especially for relationship management for donors/clients. Tessitura or similar CRM database experience a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to collaboration and positive interpersonal relationships across teams and departments.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of donors, staff and volunteers. Ability to maintain confidentiality, particularly as it relates to donors’ private or proprietary information.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for performances and events.
- Enthusiasm for the performing arts, education, and/or history.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales or other donor/client-facing work demonstrating high levels of customer service, attention to detail and revenue growth.
SALARY
Approximately $55,000-$65,000 annually.
