Summary of Position

The Head Teacher will work closely with the Raue Center Education Team to imagine, realize, coordinate, and implement the summer camp program.

The summer consists of multiple programs for children ages 5 through 14.

Below is the list of job duties, but it is not exhaustive.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Create and execute theatre curriculum with the help of our full-time staff. This includes

but is not limited to choreography and directing.

● Classes range in age and ability but all will include a form of storytelling, music, devising,

theatre arts, and dance.

● Be prepared for your campers to perform a showcase at the end of the week.

● Prepare and reset rooms for programming

● Lead games, activities and crafts during camp

● Assist with transitions and lunchtime

● Assist the teaching artists with growing their skills and abilities

● Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Activities:

● We are seeking candidates over the age of 18 that have a passion for working with children. Candidates with teaching experience and arts education experience will be prioritized for this position. The hired candidate will be trained and assisted by staff members at Raue Center for the Arts
