Atlantic Theater Company, an award-winning non-profit Off-Broadway theater, seeks a School Production Line Producer to oversee all producing operations for the Atlantic Acting School’s student productions.
Reporting to the School Executive Director, and working in close partnership with the Production Manager, Artistic Directors, and School Department (School Artistic, Administrative, Atlantic for Kids, and Alumni Productions), this role is the cornerstone of our student production efforts—balancing artistic vision with logistical execution while mentoring the next generation of theater professionals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Season Management
• Lead producer for all student productions from concept through strike.
• Draft season calendars, production budgets and summaries, and syllabi; distribute to students, faculty, and staff.
• Set up and attend auditions, key rehearsals, production meetings, tech, opening nights, and strikes.
2. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
• Build and manage multi-show production budgets; track and reconcile all creative and production expenses.
• Approve purchase requests and monitor spending, keeping shows on time and on budget.
3. Contracting & Rights
• Negotiate and execute contracts for directors, designers, stage managers, and guest artists.
• Obtain performance rights/scripts for published plays; manage commissions or new-play agreements.
4. Scheduling & Logistics
• Create rehearsal schedules; coordinate space with Operations.
• Program and supervise crew assignments for first-year students; grade and evaluate participation.
5. Student Mentorship & Support
• Provide day-to-day guidance for student casts, crews, and creative teams; troubleshoot artistic, logistical, or interpersonal issues.
• Serve as liaison among students, directors, Production Manager, and Artistic Directors.
6. Marketing, Box Office & Front-of-House
• Compile show information for press releases, programs, website, and ticketing links.
• Hire, train, and schedule box-office and house-management staff; maintain Fire Guard, CPR, and First-Aid certifications; step in as House Manager when needed.
7. Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with Production Manager and Artistic Directors to align artistic goals with production realities.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with faculty, staff, and visiting artists.
• Additional Duties
o Coordinate Opening Night gifts and payments
o Provide support for special school events and guest classes across School Departments

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years professional producing/production-management experience.
• Proven budgeting and financial-tracking skills.
• Exceptional organization, written/verbal communication, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience mentoring or teaching emerging artists; comfortable in an educational setting.
• Diplomatic team-builder who can juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Desk-based work with occasional light lifting in ADA-accessible offices and venues.

Compensation & Benefits
Atlantic offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a robust benefits package (health insurance, paid time off, 403(b), commuter benefits, and more).
Salary 55,000 - plus overtime eligible
