Production Manager - The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio

The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio seeks a collaborative and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production and support a thriving, inclusive creative environment. This full-time leadership role is central to realizing the company’s vision of producing nationally recognized contemporary theatre in Columbus. The Production Manager will coordinate with artists, designers, and staff to ensure each show is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest artistic standards. Ideal candidates are empathetic, organized, experienced in theatrical production, and committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. They must be strategic thinkers, skilled communicators, and hands-on leaders comfortable managing multiple projects and working flexible hours. Responsibilities include managing budgets and schedules, supervising production staff and contractors, leading production meetings, and ensuring compliance with union agreements and safety protocols. The position reports to the Artistic Director and offers a salary of $50,000–$55,000 plus benefits, including health insurance, PTO, and professional development.
