SEEKING IMPROV ACTORS FOR THE NORTH POLE EXPRESS

TopView NYC Sightseeing is looking for charismatic actors/singers/performers with excellent stage presence, improvisation and people skills to audition for the popular North Pole Express. This beloved NYC holiday tradition, runs on select dates from November 12th 2022 to January 2nd, 2023

This magical trip to the "North Pole" engages guests in fun Christmas activities including meeting with Santa and other costumed characters, seeing sparkling New York holiday lights, singing Christmas carols, writing letters to Santa, storytelling, and for kids, their first gift of Christmas – a silver sleigh bell.

We are looking for energetic performers who can command an audience on a moving double decker bus, improvise, have good movement and multi-tasking skills, and enjoy an interactive-based theatrical experience.

BREAKDOWN:

SANTA (male identifying) 45+, warm, sincere, full of real joy. Inspires awe from all who see him. Prior Santa experience a plus. The actor in this role should find joy in interacting with a large number of children and visitors.

CONDUCTOR (male or female identifying): Authoritative yet charming, precise yet forgiving, professional, serious, detail driven and always watching to time so as never to run late

KNOW IT ALL ELF (male or female identifying): Outgoing, joy-filled, energetic, super friendly, the ultimate warm and inviting host and knows everything about everything. Can rattle off useless and interesting facts. Excellent mover.

CHARACTER ELF (male or female identifying) Looking for super strong character choices. Whatever you find super funny. Also can be outgoing, joy-filled, energetic, excellent mover

Required Skills: Strong improv skills, excellent at working with children and tourists. Actor-musicians encouraged to submit

DURATION: Rehearsals for some actors begin November 1st, and other actors will begin rehearsals later in November. First performance November 12th. Final performance January 2rd. All actors must be fully available December 19th to January 2nd
