Assistant Costume Shop Manager - George Street Playhouse

Assistant Costume Shop Manager – George Street Playhouse, an Active LORT theatre 40 minutes from Manhattan, seeks an experienced Assistant Costume Shop Manager to assist the Costume Shop Manager in running the costume shop for their 5 show mainstage and 2 show educational touring company season. Main responsibilities include: working on the shop floor in the areas of stitching, cutting, draping, altering, dying, and craftwork; assisting with fittings, shopping and assisting wardrobe with hair styling, wigs and or make up work. Other responsibilities include: assisting in maintaining the upkeep of the shop and shop equipment and keeping stock inventoried and organized. Applicant must be a team player and have some experience working in a professional costume shop. Position begins August 23, 2021 and runs through June 5, 2022. Benefits and OT available and pays a starting salary of $730.00 a week.
