Experience the Joy, the Beats, and the Water—All in One Magical Season
Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort: Turning the Scorching Heat into the Coolest, Happiest Experience of the Season.
Launched on July 2, 2025, “Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort” returns once again to drench both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea in a thrilling blend of excitement and refreshment. At Tokyo Disneyland, guests are treated to the splash-filled parade “Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down,” inspired by the film “Big Hero 6,” along with the newly upgraded attraction “Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX Plus.” Meanwhile, over at Tokyo DisneySea, the electrifying nighttime show “Dockside Splash Remix” unleashes fire, fountains, and high-energy beats to transform the entire venue into a waterfront festival.
One of the biggest highlights this year is the groundbreaking collaboration with the popular band Mrs. GREEN APPLE—a rare move for the resort that brings their music into multiple attractions and shows across both parks. Their newly written tracks can be heard on the special version of “The Happy Ride with Baymax,” where songs are played at random for a fresh ride experience every time. Their music also powers dynamic moments in both “Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down” and the “‘Get Soaked’ Harbor Splash” at Mediterranean Harbor, where sound and water effects fuse into an immersive summer spectacle. With exclusive merchandise and a refreshing lineup of limited-time food items, this is a full-sensory summer at Disney like never before.

Even in the sweltering heat, a smile comes naturally at Tokyo Disney Resort. That was my lasting impression after fully immersing myself in the 2025 special event, “Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort.” But this year, “cool” doesn’t just mean refreshing—it’s also vibrant, energetic, and filled with the sounds of music, the spray of water, and the smiles of delighted guests. It’s a summer that’s both sizzling and soothing in the most magical way.

“Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down” is a high-energy, water-filled parade that draws directly from the world of Disney’s “Big Hero 6,” designed to recharge the guests’ “energy levels” through joyous blasts of water. Each time Baymax’s float shoots out a powerful spray, cheers and laughter erupt from the parade route.
What truly set the first day apart was an unexpected surprise right before the show began: the members of Mrs. GREEN APPLE made a special appearance, riding in an open-air Bio-Tourer vehicle alongside Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The crowd went wild. As their track “Carrying Happiness” played, the atmosphere became electric—a magical moment where music, water, and pure joy seamlessly came together.
At Tokyo Disneyland, the popular attraction “The Happy Ride with Baymax” is currently running a limited-time version featuring specially written songs by Mrs. GREEN APPLE, played at random. For the first time ever, music by a Japanese artist is featured in a Tokyo Disney Resort attraction, making this collaboration especially noteworthy.
The band’s upbeat and refreshing tracks pair perfectly with the unpredictable spinning movements of the Care Robots, creating an experience that’s both physically and emotionally uplifting. As I rode, I found myself naturally swaying to the rhythm, smiling uncontrollably. It was one of those moments where the synergy between music and motion elevates the joy—my “happiness level” truly soared.
Note: Songs are selected at random, and guests cannot choose a specific track during the ride.
When it comes to summer thrills, nothing beats a good water ride—and this year, “Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX Plus” didn’t just raise the bar, it soaked it. The water volume was intense. Just as we plunged down the drop, a tidal wave of water hit us with surprising force. I turned to my fellow riders, eyes wide, then burst into laughter. It was wet, wild, and utterly exhilarating.

If I had to recommend one performance above all, it would be “Dockside Splash Remix” at Tokyo DisneySea. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the American Waterfront came alive with a full-on dance fest. Mickey, Minnie, and friends joined in as waves of water and fiery bursts ignited the night.
From the very beginning, it was nonstop splash time. Torrents of water poured down like a summer downpour, pulsing beats fired up the energy, and Mickey, Minnie, and other beloved characters appeared one after another. It was the kind of show that made you want to dance—soaked to the skin and smiling all the way.
When the EDM-style version of “Jamboree Mickey!” kicked in mid-show, the crowd’s excitement hit its peak. As a finale to a summer night at DisneySea, it was hard to imagine anything more perfect.
During the day, I also took part in “Get Soaked’ Harbor Splash” in Mediterranean Harbor at DisneySea. With music by Mrs. GREEN APPLE and bursts of water timed to the beat, it was as refreshing as it was fun. The experience brought kids and adults alike together in wet, unfiltered joy.
Additional splash zones can also be found throughout the parks, including Toontown and the entrance to Adventureland in Tokyo Disneyland, offering playful ways to cool off and enjoy the summer heat in every corner.
This year’s summer at Tokyo Disney Resort goes beyond fun—it’s about emotional release through rhythm, energy, and togetherness. The groundbreaking collaboration with Mrs. GREEN APPLE elevated the entertainment to new heights, delivering a multi-sensory celebration like no other.
Music you can feel, water you can’t escape, and memories you’ll never forget—this is not just summer at Disney. It’s summer redefined. Don’t miss it.
