Alhambra Celebrates 50 Years of the Beatles in the US with BEATLEMANIA AGAIN, 3/20-23

One of the greatest moments in the history of show business happened at 1:20 PM, on February 7th, 1964, when Pan Am Yankee Clipper Flight number 101 carrying four British musicians landed at New York's Idlewild Airport. Within 48 hours the Beatles were performing on the Ed Sullivan Show overwhelming 73 million viewers.

The second in the Alhambra's new music concert series, Alhambra After Dark, from March 20-23, "Beatlemania Again" relives the music, the magic and the mania of The Beatles live on the Alhambra's iconic stage. The first concert, Elvis The Show was a complete sell out, and the Alhambra even added a performance to its schedule. "Beatlemania Again" chronologically traces The Beatles' career from their debut on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, to their psychedelic era and the release of the mind-blowing album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," to their last-ever live concert on the rooftop of Apple records in 1969.

"Beatlemania Again" takes the audience on a musical journey back in time featuring over 30 of The Beatles greatest hits performed live on stage. In addition, the show features three amazing costume changes throughout the performance. To add to the authenticity, "Beatlemania Again" uses the same musical instruments that the Beatles used in the 1960's such as Hofner Bass Guitars, Rickenbacker Guitars, Gretsch Guitars, Vox Amplifiers and Black Oyster Pearl Ludwig drums.

The show has excited audiences throughout the United States and Canada, and has shared the stage with highly talented artists such as BJ Thomas, The Grass Roots, The Lovin' Spoonful, Chubby Checker and many more. About the Band

Alan Leboeuf portrays bass playing "Paul" in "Beatlemania Again." With his Hofner bass, he brings the character magically to life. His rendition of the crowd favorite "Hey Jude," along with his outstanding keyboard accompaniment gets the entire audience to sway their arms and sing along night after night. He first began performing as "Paul" in the Broadway "Beatlemania" show in New York City. Since then he has performed nationally and internationally as McCartney. Alan is also a member of "Baillie and the Boys" based out of Nashville, who had seven straight top ten hits on the country charts.

John Lennon is brought to life by Dave Pal, a Lennon tribute artist/actor who has portrayed the legendary Beatle in over 600 shows, both as a solo act and as a regular cast member with the highly-acclaimed, nationally-touring stage show "Beatlemania Again." Dave has earned accolades from his performances at Beatles festivals and special engagements in both America and England. He plays guitar, piano, bass, and harmonica.

Rich Morello is the manager of the "Beatlemania Again" stage show. Sitting behind the famous Black Oyster Pearl drum set, he projects Ringo's spirit to the fullest. With that notorious smile, he entertains the audience performing such hits as Yellow Submarine in which the crowd has no choice but to indulge in the musical extravaganza. He has affectionately unlocked the vaults of Ringo's distinctive approach to drumming. Rich has been playing drums since the age of ten, and has been performing nationally and internationally for over 25 years.

John Korba is the lead guitarist of Beatlemania Again. With his true to character form, he brings the George persona and precise guitar skills to life. Highlights of his performances during the show include the ballad "Something" and the sizzling "Taxman." John has held the position of associate conductor in the Broadway show "Rent," and he held the same position in the Broadway productions of "The Civil War" and the "Rocky Horror Show." John also has performed and recorded with Hall and Oates, Todd Rundgren, Carly Simon and many other artists.

"Beatlemania Again" will run at the Alhambra March 20 - 23, 2014. Show time is 8:00 PM for evening shows. Doors open at 5:45 PM and dinner will be served until 7:30 PM.
