Remember being a kid and playing pirates or cops and robbers outside with your friends? Well, NOW YOU CAN COME DO THAT AS AN ADULT! This workshop is all about having fun in a supportive environment. You will learn the basics of improvisation while creating fun, exciting characters and environments. This is also a great workshop to work on your public speaking and presentation skills without even realizing you are doing it. Your instructor, Gary Baker, has studied at the Second City and iO in Chicago and has been teaching theatre and improv for 13 years to students of all ages in Jacksonville, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. He runs Awkward Silence Jax: A Sketch Comedy Troupe and is the Artistic Director of the Vintage Players, Jacksonville's only Senior Citizen acting group. Gary is very excited to bring this workshop back to ABET and can't wait to see you all there!
