The world premiere live performance of How It Is, Samuel Beckett's final long novel, is presented by Gare St Lazare Ireland and Berggruen Arts and Culture at Palazzo Diedo in Venice. The production is directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett and performed by Conor Lovett and Stephen Dillane, with composition and sound design by Mel Mercier and lighting design by Simon Bennison. The event transforms the second floor of Palazzo Diedo into an interdisciplinary space where literature, theatre, visual arts, and music converge, with a site-specific installation designed by Michael Craig-Martin. Guest appearances are made by Irish musician Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, and spectators may enter and leave freely, with the option to return until June 21 using the same pass.
