In this 60-minute theatre performance, Hayden and Iconnee introduce the wonder of circus along with the wonder of drag. They take you on a journey, from backstage to the spotlight, through the doubts, joys, glitter and fights. They show you the bruises behind the makeup, the paddings under the tights and the struggle of unreachable perfection.
You will be taken by the hand (audience remains seated) and witness a personal and theatrical transformation. During the performance you will see the growth and development of the two characters. Through conflict, but most of all through each other’s support they will be adding different layers to their character.
Between sharp timings and a high level of execution using contemporary circus and the glamour of drag, House of Circus forms a dizzying universe that plays with the difference, evolution and fluidity in gender.
This show is created for a very broad audience. It contains a lot of humour and is easy to watch, yet it might also give you some food for thought. You will leave this performance with a smile on your face and lots of positive energy.
