The Roscommon School of Ballet's upcoming performances of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker is sold out. Students of the school will perform four shows to capacity audiences at Roscommon Arts Centre from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th December.

Roscommon Arts Centre has recently announced its new January - April programme of events. With a packed programme of events including theatre with world famous Druid Theatre Company's production of ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan' (January), Roscommon Drama Festival (4th - 12th March), Decadent Theatre's critically acclaimed ‘The Quare Land' starring Des Keogh as well as local groups Breffni Players and Sanctuary Players. The packed programme also includes music by Jerry Fish, comedy with local lads ‘The Two Willies' and Conal Gallen, trad music sessions, workshops, classes and much more. ‘Songs for While I'm Away', celebrating the life of Phil Lynott
‘Songs for While I'm Away' will celebrate the wonderful life of Phil Lynott on the 25th anniversary of his death, at Roscommon Arts Centre on Saturday 15th January 2011.
The 15th January sees the return of what has become a very successful tribute night to one of Ireland's greatest musicians. Showcasing music from local bands, videos, slide shows and special guests, this will be a night to remember for any Lizzy fans. Early bird tickets are just €10, with tickets on the door €13.
