prioriTIX Launches the First Broadway Subscription App To Help the Audience and the Industry
prioriTIX is a New York City-based Broadway subscription ticket service.
Summer 2019 - Nellie Beavers was 20th in line sitting on the sidewalk outside the Walter Kerr Theatre at five AM. She'd been there since before dawn, waiting for rush tickets to Hadestown. If it won the Tony, as she suspected it would, she'd never be able to afford a ticket. She had Empanada Mama's delivered to her on the sidewalk, and she was catching up on MasterChef Junior when it hit her, "I'm an adult with a credit card! Why am I sitting on the ground?"
For the next four hours, she scoured her phone in search of a company she could just hand her credit card to that would secure tickets to shows before they became the next Hamilton. She found nothing. So she decided to build it herself.
Beavers knows the industry inside and out, with over 20 years working alongside some of the biggest names in the Broadway community, customer service, and tech — from Apple to Disney — she understood why a Broadway subscription hadn't been done, but also knew it needed to be done.
The idea first gained industry recognition in early 2020 when prioriTIX was accepted into the Broadway Tech Accelerator, backed by The Shubert Organization and IT Mentors. The company was preparing to move forward when Broadway's historic COVID shutdown brought the industry to a halt. Six years later, the concept is finally hitting the marketplace.
"The advances for shows and local attendance are getting smaller and smaller since COVID," says Beavers. "Many productions don't know what the next few weeks look like until they're almost upon them. Subscriptions put predictable revenue back into the system. We wanted to build something that helps the industry, not just the audience."
"prioriTIX is the one and only Broadway subscription service. It's like season tickets to the ballet or the Yankees — but for Broadway," says Beavers. "You set your preferences. prioriTIX takes care of the rest."
With prioriTIX, users set a recurring monthly date with Broadway by selecting the shows they want to see, the schedule, and their seating preferences. Subscribers can choose a show set from prioriTIX's curated thematic collections or create their own. prioriTIX sequences each subscriber's season strategically, to make sure members actually get to the shows they want to see. Subscriptions range from $89 to $500 per month depending on seating and show selections, with pricing stabilized across the full subscription period.
To celebrate its official launch, prioriTIX is introducing a one-day-only "62626" promotion—a palindrome date marking June 26, 2026. Theatre fans who download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play on June 26 and subscribe that day will receive a special $26 launch-day discount on any Show Set with code 62626PRIORITIX.
"We believe Broadway attendance should be intentional, predictable, and easy," said Beavers. "If we can help audiences see more shows while giving the industry greater confidence in future sales, that's a win for everyone."
