Broadway Press Agent Shane Marshall Brown Will Take Over HAMILTON & More Upon Sam Rudy's Retirement

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, theatrical press rep extraordinaire Sam Rudy recently announced his retirement from the Broadway scene.

Rudy began his Broadway career as a press assistant for the 1979 play Strider. Since then, his Sam Rudy Media Relations has represented thirteen Broadway shows and many more off-Broadway productions, including Avenue Q and Hamilton.

BroadwayWorld has now learned that upon Rudy's retirement (officially beginning July 31, 2019), his longtime associate and co-founder of The Press Room, Shane Marshall Brown will take over work on Hamilton, the Vineyard Theatre, and Rosie's Theater Kids.

"Sam Rudy has changed my life," says Brown. "I will forever be grateful for what he has taught me both professionally and personally. We are two farm boys who found their path to Broadway. It's an honor to follow in his footsteps from the farm to the theater and even to mountains of Pennsylvania. It has been a privilege serving as his right-hand man."

The Press Room's other current clients include: The Book of Mormon, Born for This, Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, The Greatest Musical Never Written, Only Human, Working Girl, Shakespeare's Globe, Hunter Theater Project, The Wooster Group, New York Classical Theatre, 3D Theatricals, Theatre Row, and Hershey Felder,
