Wagon Wheel Theatre Presents Irving Berlin's I LOVE PIANO, Now thru 8/25

He's considered one of the greatest songwriters in American History and his story is coming to the Wagon Wheel Theatre tonight, August 15-25. It's called I Love a Piano. The incomparable Irving Berlin wrote over fifteen hundred songs in his lifetime, including scores for nineteen Broadway shows and eighteen Hollywood films. He charted twenty-five number one hits including "God Bless America", "White Christmas", "Easter Parade", "Cheek to Cheek", and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm", just to name a few.

Berlin's music was the soundtrack of an ever-changing American culture. The musical revue begins in 1910 in Alexander's Music shop with "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" and melodically accompanies the audience through World War I. The show continues by contrasting the fancy-free feelings of the roaring 20's to the remorse of the Great Depression. "Blue Skies" eventually shine and I Love a Piano takes you on a ride with the patriotic choruses of World War II to the swingin' show tunes of the 1950's ("Puttin' on the Ritz" and "There's No Business Like Showbusiness").

Alternately heartbreaking and hilarious, rousing and reflective, I Love a Piano is a fitting tribute to the legend Irving Berlin. You won't want to miss this timeless, heartwarming show that will be a hit for the whole family. Tickets are on sale now and range from $12-$31.
