Phoenix Theatre Announces World Premiere Of APPLES IN WINTER

Don't miss this heart breaker, yet beautifully told story. Jan Lucas gives a powerful performance in this one woman show that will linger in your thoughts and heart long after you leave the Theatre. She prepares and bakes her homemade apple pie in real time, live on stage. Its a cooking lesson with a comforting aroma and Jan portrays the conflict between her love and anger with impact and precision.

Told through humor and heartache, laughter and tears, Apples in Winter speaks to all of us through its poignant simplicity. This captivating one-woman show takes us on a breathtaking emotional roller coaster to explore all the many emotions we encounter on our journeys with those we've tried to love unconditionally. This not-to-be-missed production is part of a rolling world premiere supported by the National New Play Network, of which Phoenix Theatre is a core member. NNPN's central mission is to encourage and support the nurturing of new plays for the American stage.

Playwright Jennifer Fawcett expresses unconditional love in this script so beautifully written. Both Jan and Jennifer are available for media interviews. Phoenix favorite Jolene Mentink Moffatt directs this beautifully poignant one-act drama on the intimate Frank & Katrina Basile Stage.

Apples in Winter runs January 11-January 27, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $33-39, available at the Box Office by calling 317-635-7529 or visiting PhoenixTheatre.org.
