Lincoln Amphitheatre Seeks Munchkins For WIZARD OF OZ
Twenty actors to play munchkins and Oz children are needed for the Lincoln Amphitheatre and Evansville Civic Theatre Partnership of "The Wizard of Oz."
Munchkin and Oz children audition information:
Evansville: Auditions will be held Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. CDT at the Evansville Civic Theatre at the corner of Fulton and Columbia, 717 N. Fulton Avenue in Evansville, Ind.
Lincoln City: Auditions will be held Wednesday, May 18 at 6 p.m. CDT at Lincoln Amphitheatre inside Lincoln State Park, 15032 N. CR 300 E Lincoln City, Ind.
Children ages 6-13 are welcomed to apply. All interested parties must come prepared with a memorized solo with a CD accompaniment track or acappella. A CD player will be provided at each venue. A brief dance audition will be taught to all who attend. Comfortable shoes are recommended to be worn.

Steampunk, a science fiction genre inspired by 19th century Victorian Era Britain and Old American West, is the direction Tyner plans to take "The Wizard of Oz" in without making changes to the movie script version.
"The Wizard of Oz" will take the stage this summer at Lincoln Amphitheatre on July 21, 2011, and will run Thursday - Saturday evenings with Sunday matinees until August 7. Tickets are currently on sale to the general public.
