The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly will be joined by Indianapolis audience favorite Michael Cavanaugh to perform a new pops show titled Michael Cavanaugh: Rock Singers & Songwriters in the final concert weekend of the ISO's 2011-2012 Printing Partners Pops Series season tonight and Saturday, June 8 and 9, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre and Sunday, June 10, at The Palladium at the Center for Performing Arts in Carmel, Ind. 

Michael Cavanaugh, who was chosen by Billy Joel to star in the Broadway musical Moving Out, previously has collaborated with the ISO to create Michael Cavanaugh Sings the Music of Billy Joel and More, Generations of Rock and The Music of Billy Joel & Elton JohnThis new production with Cavanaugh as pianist and vocalist will celebrate Paul Simon's music by including timeless favorites including "Mrs. Robinson," "Sounds of Silence," "Bridge Over Troubled Waters," "Cecelia," and "You Can Call Me Al," among others.  Also featured will be hits by pop legend James Taylor such as "Fire and Rain," "You've Got a Friend," "and "How Sweet it Is," plus pop icon Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," "America," and "I'm A Believer," and other memorable tunes by pop rock-artists from the 1970s and 1980s.

Tickets for the Hilbert Circle Theatre concerts on Friday at 11 a.m. range from $26-$48 each, with Friday and Saturday evening tickets from $20-$76.  Tickets to the Sunday 7:30 p.m. concert at The Palladium range from $30-$85 for adults with $20 student tickets available.
