The Cabaret rolls out the red carpet for "The Queen of Cabaret," Andrea Marcovicci as we celebrate the 2011 Season Grand Opening. Paying tribute to silver screen legends like Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn, Bing Crosby, and Bob Hope, Andrea illuminates how movie music has scored our lives and loves. The evening will feature a dazzling array of movie songs from the 1930s through the 1990s - with such classics as "The Way We Were," "Thanks for the Memory," "Days of Wine and Roses," and "As Time Goes By." *Champagne reception to follow each performance. Black Tie Optional.

Holding the record for the most seasons ever played at New York's legendary Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel, Andrea has also entertained sold-out audiences from coast to coast, including the esteemed LICEU Opera House in Barcelona, Town Hall in New York City, and a solo concert at Carnegie Hall.

Andrea Marcovicci, the "Queen of Cabaret," continues to entertain sold-out audiences from coast to coast. Cabaret and nightclub appearances include Pizza On The Park in London, The Oak Room at the Algonquin in New York City, The Gardenia in Hollywood, The Rrazz Room in San Francisco, The Colony in Palm Beach Florida, The Cinegrill in Los Angeles, Le Chat Noir in new Orleans and many others. Concert work includes performances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the San Francisco Pops, Florida Philharmonic, the Oregon and Fr. Worth Symphonies, among others. Andrea's Carnegie Hall solo debut, backed by the American Symphony Orchestra, was to a sold-out audience. She has also performed in the esteemed LICEU Opera House in Barcelona and at the New York Cabaret Convention. Performances in theatres and concert halls include: Steppenwolf in Chicago, the Tilles Center and the John Drew Theatre in Long Island, JFPAC in new Jersey, the Grandel in St. Louis, Caramoor in Katonah, New York, the Lyric Teater in Florida, Bass Hall performing Arts Center in Ft. Worth, the Brownville Concert Series in Nebraska and the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Vail, Colorado. Andrea has also hosted The MAC Awards, the ASCAP Songwriter's Evening at the Chicago Humanities Festival and the New York Nightlife Awards twice.  She was also a guest speaker (along with the President of the Netherlands) at the New York Film Society's tribute to Sir Michael Caine at Lincoln Center. Broadway credits include:  Ambassador and Any Given Day with Sada Thompson. Off-Broadway credits: The Wedding of Iphigenia, Variety Obit, The Seagull and Hamlet for Joseph Papp's Shakespeare in the Park. Regional Credits: St. Joan, Burn This, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, On A Clear Day, Coco, Chaplin, Finian's Rainbow, and Lady in the Dark. TV credits include Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, Arli$$, Cybill, Taxi, Magnum P.I., Hill Street Blues, Trapper John, M.D., and Strong Medicine. Film Credits include: The Front (nominated for a Golden Globe Award) with Woody Allen, The Hand, The Stuff, Spacehunter, The Canterville Ghost, Someone To Love,  Jack the Bear, among other made for television movies. Awards and honors include: the Mabel Mercer Foundation's 2007 Mabel Award and three Lifetime Achievement Awards - honored so by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs, the Licia Albanese - Puccini Foundation, and by a Bob Harrington Backstage Bistro Award.
