Civic Theatre's ANNIE Breaks Record for Highest Grossing Season Opener

Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre's production of ANNIE broke the record for most successful season opener in Civic's history. The fan favorite surpassed all opening shows' box office records to take the top spot.

ANNIE was a success in the making before it ever hit the stage. With National Tour sets that were masterfully assembled and fashioned by Civic's professional technical staff, costumes made by Civic's resident costume designer and volunteers, precision and impeccable timing from the live orchestra, and incomparable direction and choreography from Anne Nicole Beck, audiences were treated to a stunning display of artistry.

Coming this holiday season to Civic's stage is JOSEPH & AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. It is the ninth installment at Civic since 2000. One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph throughout his trials and triumph.
