Carmel Community Players Presents RABBIT HOLE 10/15

By:

Carmel Community Players kicks off its season of Pulitzer Prize-winning plays with its production of Rabbit Hole on Thursday, October 15th. It will be the first production for CCP since moving into the new Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace.

Rabbit Hole, the 2006 Pulitzer Prize winner by David Lindsay-Abaire is the story about Becca and Howie Corbett who have everything a family could want. But a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting apart. Rabbit Hole charts the bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day.

The cast includes veteran actors familiar to the Indianapolis-area theater scene as well as a couple of new faces. Jennifer Nelson (Anderson) and Doug Powers (Indianapolis) play Becca and Howie Corbett, each struggling to cope with their tragedy in different ways. Becca's outspoken mother Nat is played by Vickie Cornelius-Phipps (Carmel). Lacy Marie Meyer (Indianapolis) portrays Izzy, Becca's wild and attention-craving younger sister. And Matthew Lindblom (Brownsburg) takes on the role of Jason, the high school student who feel responsible for the Corbett's tragedy. Rabbit Hole is being directed by Ken Klingenmeir and produced by Lori Raffel.

Carmel Community Player's Rabbit Hole opens Thursday, October 15th at the new Carmel Community Playhouse and runs for two weekends. Production dates are October 15-18, and 22-25. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. The show does contain graphic language and may not be appropriate for younger audiences. For more information visit www.carmelplayers.org or www.carmelplayhouse.com.
