Carnatic Vocal Recital To Be Presented By Spic Macay and Sunder Nursery

SPIC MACAY and Sunder Nursery have joined hands to launch an exciting public outreach initiative in the capital with the aim of promoting cultural awareness among the general public. This collaboration, named Sangeet Sudha, features regular monthly programs of classical music and dance in the newly opened, state-of-the-art auditorium inside the World Heritage Site Museum of Humayun’s Tomb.

As part of the same initiative, Sangeet Sudha will feature Vidwan Sikkil Gurucharan for a Carnatic Vocal Recital. Accompanying him will be Vidwan Sanjeev V. on Violin, Vidwan N. C. Bharadwaj on Mridangam, and Shri M. Sridhar on Tanpura. This programme will provide a wonderful opportunity to experience the richness, depth, and beauty of Carnatic classical music. 

Reviving Delhi’s Cultural Landscape: SPIC MACAY has a long history of collaborating with like-minded organizations and government bodies such as the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, NDMC, and municipal corporations across India to organize classical music and dance programs for the public throughout the country. While SPIC MACAY’s primary focus has been on organizing programs in educational institutions for students, this partnership at the World Heritage Site Museum of Humayun’s Tomb and the Sunder Nursery Garden Amphitheatre, an initiative of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, is a significant expansion of SPIC MACAY’s mission and will engage wider audiences with India’s rich culture and vibrant heritage.

Sudha Sangini Foundation: This initiative has been further strengthened by the support of Sudha Sangini, a renowned organisation dedicated to working with various sections of society, including tribal women and environmental initiatives.

The program is scheduled for June 12 at 4:30 PM at the Auditorium, Humayun's Tomb World Heritage Site Museum, New Delhi.
