The Gondoliers at Wortham Theater Center

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston presents The Gondoliers as part of its 75th season, marking a full-circle moment as the work was also the company's very first production in 1952. Set in Venice, the operetta follows two gondolier brothers, Marco and Giuseppe, who discover one of them is heir to a distant throne, leading to a whirlwind of mistaken identity, romance, and comedic twists. Stage director Alyssa Weathersby returns to helm the production, with Music Director Dr. Clifton Evans and Assistant Music Director Gregory D. McDaniel leading the musical side. The cast includes Grant Peck as Marco Palmieri, Sean Holshouser as Giuseppe Palmieri, Richard Paul Fink as Don Alhambra del Bolero, Sarah Lee as the Duchess of Plaza-Toro, and Dennis Arrowsmith as the Duke of Plaza-Toro, among others.
