Produced by Scott Griffin, and Directed by David Hudson and Lisa Klages, "Drunk Shakespeare" is a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that combines the world's most famous playwright with alcohol, improv, and comedy. It has been decreed as “the best thing to ever happen to the theatre” by Slate Magazine, and is a New York Times Critics’ Pick. Five classically trained actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One actor takes 5 shots and attempts to perform…in a Shakespearean tragedy! The result? An uproariously entertaining and unpredictable spectacle of hilarity and mayhem, expertly guided by the four sober actors striving to keep the script on track. Each performance of "Drunk Shakespeare" is unique depending on who's drinking, and what they’re drinking! And of course, the audience plays a role in how each performance unfolds as well (not to worry, craft cocktails are available for the audience during the performance at a full service bar!) The Drunk Shakespeare Society has been meeting, drinking and performing Shakespeare for over a thousand nights ... and over a thousand liters of liquor. This talented troupe of rotating members loves sharing the epic poetry of William Shakespeare, but you don’t need to know lick of it to enjoy yourself. Pop culture references, improvisation, audience games, a wealth of surprises and liberal departures from the text (with outrageous consequences) make this accessible for anyone who likes a good time. Every night is different and truly anything can happen. Craft cocktails are available for purchase throughout the show. 21+ Only
