Theatre Under The Stars Annual Vine & Dine Takes a Trip Around the World with Renowned Chefs

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) annual Vine & Dine event held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Silver Street Studios treated its 300 guests to food and wine from around the world. Entertainment for this event was provided by students of the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) and featured songs from the various musicals represented in each region. The evening raised $135,000 for HSMT and TUTS other educational and community outreach programs.

Guests dined on food from Liberty Kitchen, Jonathan's The Rub, Patagonia Grill and Cafe, True Foods, Charivari, Peli Peli, Houston Racquet Club, Sammy's Wild Game Grill, Fluff Bake Bar and World Catering & Bakery. Notable chefs contributed dishes and take-away treats including Eric Laird, Jonathan Levine, Sebastian Abraham, Ben Amerling, Johann Schuster, Paul Friedman, Adam Heath, Samuel Ballarin, Paul Sofka, Avi Katz, Paul Camfield, Rebecca Masson and Daniel and Frances Walsh.

Beverages for the evening were provided by Dionisio Winery, Hensley Family Vineyards, Katz Coffee, Houston Wine Merchant, Silver Eagle Distributors and Camfield Coffee.

Notable guests included Sarah Pepper, who emceed the evening, Frank and Demetra Jones, who chaired the event, Paul Sofka, who was the Lead Chef, and his wife, Christine, Tracy and Jim Fish, Amy Pierce, Alan and Tricia Ratliff, Paula Harris, Marlene Marker, Roxann and Tim Neumann, June Deadrick, Jay Landa, Becca and Scott Schwinger, Shelly and Jerome Mulanax, Paul David Van Atta, John and Dolores Tobola, Connie Faro and Patrick Duffy, Helen and Jim Shaffer and Michael Casey. TUTS Executive Director, Hillary Hart, was also in attendance; as was the Dean of HSMT, Dave Clemmons.
