Wondering where to start shopping the day after Thanksgiving? Take your holiday list to Ten Thousand Villages on November 26, and your holiday purchases will support two worthy causes - funding Revels Houston performances and encouraging artisans from around the world.

The Shopping Night to benefit Revels Houston will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 26 at the shop located at 2424-A Rice Blvd. in Rice Village. Fifteen percent of sales during the evening will go to Revels Houston. The Revelry ensemble will perform songs and dances to entertain shoppers as they browse the store's variety of handmade jewelry, toys, musical instruments, and household accessories.

In December, Revels Houston will present "The Christmas Revels: A Celtic Celebration of the Winter Solstice." Performances will draw from the songs, dance, poetry and games of the Celtic region of Europe - including Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and England. Six performances are scheduled the weekends of December 11 and 12 and December 18 and 19. The performances will take place at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts on the University of Houston campus. For more information, contact Revels Houston at 713-668-3303 or pcurtis@revelshouston.org.
