THE PRODUCERS Opens at Stageworks Theatre

Stageworks Theatre presents its fifth production of the season, THE PRODUCERS, by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, music and Lyrics by Mel Brooks. Directed by Dru Wiser, music direction by Chelsea Lerner, and choreography by Adam Delka, the show runs March 17 - April 9, 2017 on the Garza Mainstage.

When a scheming producer and his mousy accountant aim to produce the biggest flop on Broadway, you are guaranteed to have a laugh-out-loud spectacle! For anyone familiar with Mel Brooks' classic cult comedy film, the names Bialystock and Bloom should strike terror and hysteria. Now as a big Broadway musical, THE PRODUCERS once again sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. It is a truly "boffo" hit, winning a record twelve Tony Awards.

The talented actors leading the hilarity are Michael Morrison, (Max), JT Fischer (Leo), Mandy Kolbaba (Ulla), Taylor Fisher (Roger), and Bryon Gable (Franz). The production team includes Dru Wiser (Director), Adam Delka (Choreography), Chelsea Lerner (Music Direction), David Dean (sound design), Ron Putterman (lighting design), Michael Montgomery (artistic director), and Chris Gibson (production manager).
