Next Iteration Prepares For Its Newest Iteration Next Iteration Theater Company (NITC) will be now transitioning into its even more inclusive, new name, Next Iteration Ensemble (NIE), which broadens their company name to include all of the various forms of performance and craft they aim to explore under one very creative umbrella. NIE will be focused on giving actors the professional development opportunities they need to hone their skills and grow their craft, be it a focus on mask work, puppetry, movement, clowning, and so much more.

In addition to a name shift, NIE has re-shaped its mission to fully reflect the work they have always been invested in, and the artistic goals they are working continuously to accomplish.

"Next Iteration Ensemble commits to devise, perform, produce, and promote original thought-provoking, culturally-inclusive new theater; perform under-represented voices, re-imagine familiar works; and collaborate locally, nationally, and internationally by engaging our audience, communities, and other artists."

Although many things are changing, a few things remain the same: their commitment to have their art reflect the diverse landscape of our beautiful, brilliant communities, their pledge to pay all of their artists involved a living wage, and their promise to keep our productions and programs affordable and accessible with pay-what-you-can tickets.

As they move ahead, NIE will be releasing a Fall Fundraising Campaign in the next coming months in order to support bringing their original, devised work Open Carry (created entirely by the Ensemble and the Artistic Director, dianne k webb) to the stage for a full production. In addition to their devised work, continue to look forward to their biennial ReadFest and Intercultural Play Reading Series.
