Diamond Head Theatre Presents PROMISES PROMISES, 5/20

By: May. 06, 2016

Diamond Head Theatre (DHT) is excited to announce, Promises, Promises, opening on May 20, 2016.

Set in swinging and stylish 1968 Manhattan---think TV's Mad Men---the musical (based on the Billy Wilder film, "The Apartment", which starred Jack Lemmon) offers up a platter of sharp one-liners from comic genius Neil Simon and infectious pop tunes from Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Chuck Baxter has a spacious, fashionable apartment ideal for mischief. With the promise of promotion dangling before him, Chuck lends some of his senior executives his place for their extramarital trysts by his married superiors. Life soon gets complicated! Songs include "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" and "Promises, Promises."

Hailing from Chicago just to play the part of "Chuck Baxter" is the multitalented Scott Sowinski. Joining him on stage will be Vanessa Mazzullo as Chuck's complicated love interest, "Fran Kubelick." Laurence Paxton plays Chuck's boss and high-powered insurance executive, "J.D. Sheldrake."

Directed and Choreographed by John Rampage, "Promises, Promises" will be playing from May 20 - June 5. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday - Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday, and Saturday matinees at 3 p.m.
