This Giving Tuesday, The Hurrah Players Performing Arts Academy, Virginia’s leading family theatre company, invites you to make a difference that will last far beyond the final curtain call.
For more than 40 years, The Hurrah Players have been shaping the next generation of artists, performers, and confident young leaders through professional theatre training and inclusive community performances. Each year, hundreds of students walk through Hurrah’s doors to find their voices, their passion, and their place in the arts.
This Giving Tuesday, your support helps ensure that every child — regardless of background or financial ability — has access to the life-changing opportunities that Hurrah provides.
Provide scholarships so all students can participate, regardless of financial barriers.
Maintain our rehearsal studios, theatre spaces, and production equipment for safe, creative learning environments.
Support both our Performing Arts Academy and our TV & Film Academy, where students explore stage performance, filmmaking, animation, photography, and digital media.
Offer inclusive programs and community outreach that bring the joy of live theatre and creative storytelling to audiences across Hampton Roads.
“Hurrah has always been about more than putting on shows,” says Amber Caudell, Managing Director. “It’s about building confidence, creativity, and community — on stage, on screen, and beyond.”

Founded in 1984, The Hurrah Players is Virginia’s leading family theatre company, dedicated to inspiring and empowering young people through the performing arts. Based in Norfolk, Hurrah offers year-round classes in acting, singing, and dance through its Performing Arts Academy, along with a full season of mainstage productions that bring families and the community together.
In addition to its stage-programs, Hurrah now operates a TV & Film Academy, empowering young creators ages 12 – 19 to discover the art and craft of filmmaking, animation, photography, television production, and digital media. Students learn to write, shoot, edit and produce original projects using professional equipment, all within a supportive, hands-on studio environment. hurrahplayers.com+2hurrahplayers.com+2
