For those that might not know: Tipping Point was founded nearly 20 years ago with the goal of bringing more business to Downtown Northville, all while providing jobs for local performing artists and entertainment for all.
This purpose is what inspired the name of our theatre – It comes from Malcolm Gladwell's book “The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make A Big Difference". We're a small theatre, but we continue to make a big difference in our community.
If you have ever purchased a ticket to a Tipping Point Theatre production, we thank you for being a part of our mission. But ticket sales only cover a small portion of what it takes to make our productions come to life.
This holiday season, you can play a larger role in our mission. YOU have the power to help us ensure that vibrant, professional theatre continues to serve our community for years to come.
TIPPING POINT THEATRE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre operating under a Small Professional Theatre Agreement with the Actor’s Equity Association in a charming, intimate theatre in Northville, Michigan.
We celebrate live theatre by producing a wide range of vibrant, diverse, thought-provoking programming, promoting local and upcoming artists, and providing arts educational outreach to the Northville community and southeast Michigan.
We strive to be a place where diverse artists and audiences come together to recognize the familiar and explore the unknown - encouraging human connection, conversation and a sense of belonging.
Not every story or experience is joyful, but joy is at the core of “how,” and “why” we do our work.
Tipping Point Theatre is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and excellence not only on the page, but in our practices - casting, staff, and the selection of stories that we share on the stage.
